She was very active in sports, gymnastics and loved to swim, also serving as a lifeguard. Carol left Kapuskasing at an early age; she travelled and lived in different cities throughout Ontario. She was adventurous, loved music and was a bit wild in her younger years experiencing and living life to the fullest. Carol enjoyed playing BINGO probably because she often won. Her friends were an important aspect of her life. She was a cat lover like her mother. She was crafty, liked taking pictures and wrote poetry.

Carol became a Registered Nurse Assistant and later upgraded to become an Registered Nurse. She worked at Sudbury General Hospital then moved on to the Humber Memorial Hospital Church site. She worked in the surgical floor, T3, ICU and recovery. In 2015 she retired after 41 years of service.

Her diagnosis and battle with cancer was unexpected, rapid and turbulent. She started experiencing health issues with her stomach in September 2021 was diagnosed in December 2021 and had surgery February 1st 2022. With high hopes of recovery she unfortunately had a few complications and the cancer started to spread rapidly. She became weak and was in constant pain. Towards the end she knew better than anyone her time was coming to an end. She asked to be made comfortable, tried to say as many goodbyes as possible she went with her sister Barb, son Taylor and daughter Janin at her side, holding her hands comforting her and surrounded by love.

Carol will be forever cherished by her family, friends and all who she has ever met.
