Carmela Moncada, 84, of Ajax, passed away on July 22nd, 2022.

Carmela was born on December 24th, 1937 in Pachino Sicily, Italy to Giuseppe Brancato and Lucia Brancato nee Maggio. She was married in Pachino to Concetto Moncada on February 23rd, 1963. She was trained as a seamstress and later had a dry cleaning and alteration business in Scarborough. She came from a family of 8 children and she is predeceased by 5 of them. Carmela and Concetto enjoyed many years gathering with family and friends at our family cottage in Brighton where many celebrations were held and memories created.

Carmela is predeceased by her husband Concetto who passed away on March 1st, 2005.

Carmela is survived by her three children Giacomo Moncada (Luisa), Grazia Lucia Migliore (Angelo), Giuseppe Moncada (Josie), and her 7 grandchildren Alessandra, Marco, Jacob, Nicole (Jakob), Mathew, Luke and Madelyn.
