Carl Lennox Harper

Carl Lennox Harper was born August 26, 1946 in Belmont Trinidad. He is survived by his daughter Stacey and son Sean and ex wife Patricia. As well as his grandchildren Jade and Jolie. He had 7 siblings, 5 sisters (Carmen (deceased) Myrna, Myrle (Sally) (deceased) Joyce, and Angela and 2 brothers Ancil (deceased) and Monty and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Carl came to Canada 1968 to join his 3 sisters. While here he to went George Brown College and took an upholster course and went back again and took a course in sewing machine mechanic.

His first job in Canada was at North York General Hospital, after that he did clerical work with the Canadian Government Office, and several other companies doing upholstery. He then landed a job with DeHavilland for many years.

Carl was an avid soccer player, playing goal keeper in a soccer league at Flemmington park on Sundays in the70’s to early 80’s.

He was also very involved in Caribana, helping different mas band making costumes.
He also loved steelpan, always in Afropan’s panyard when they are practicing or just liming. Then on Caribana day waving a flag at the front of the band.

Carl was also known as the nuts man, selling nuts at many Caribbean events.
