It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cameron Conacher on April 10, 2025. Cameron brought warmth, wisdom, and humour to every room he entered. He was a deeply positive, passionate, and kind personβ€”someone who made the world brighter for those around him.

Born on March 2, 1955, Cameron built a life grounded in curiosity, dedication, and a strong work ethic. He had a long and fulfilling career in IT, a field he was truly passionate about. He often joked he enjoyed it so much he would have done the work for free. Problem-solving and troubleshooting weren’t just part of his job; they were things he genuinely enjoyed.

Cameron’s interests extended far beyond his profession. He was a passionate hockey goalie, an avid stargazer with a love for telescopes, and a skilled woodworker who took joy in building and creating. He had an adventurous spiritβ€”he loved scuba diving, skydiving, and found peace in the open air while riding his motorcycle. Known for his quick wit and magnetic presence, he had a way of lighting up any roomβ€”even if he often got lost trying to find it.

A generous spirit, Cameron was a frequent blood donor, and had selflessly donated bone marrow and part of his liver to help others in needβ€” his compassion touched more lives than we will ever fully know.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kelly; his children CJ, Mackenzie, and Sarah; and his cherished grandchildren Theodore, Caden, Austin, and a future baby granddaughter. He is also survived by his sisters Muriel and Margaret Rose. Cameron was predeceased by his parents, James and Leola, and his siblings Clifford, Myrna, and Marlene.

Cameron’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched through his compassion, humour, and strength of character. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

My sincere condolences to CJ. Mackenzie, Sarah and Kelly
He was truly one of a kind. I’ll always remember the joy he brought during the holidaysβ€”he had this incredible way of lighting up a room, especially at Christmas. His laughter was contagious, and his sense of humor made every gathering feel like something special.
Thinking back to those childhood memories, he was the kind of person who made everyone feel at home. It's hard to imagine family moments without his presence, his jokes, or the warmth he carried so naturally.
Please know my thoughts are with you and your family during this time. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
