In memory of

Cameron Anton Davies

October 20, 1977 -  December 3, 2018

On the morning of December 3, 2018, the world was thrown a huge curveball, becoming a little quieter with the passing of beloved husband, admired father, adored son and cherished brother, Cameron Anton Davies. The loss of his booming voice, infectious laugh, a clap so loud it was embarrassing and, most importantly, his engulfing bear hugs will be tough for his family and friends to overcome. But they will. Larger-than-life Cam would not want it any other way. He touched the lives of more people than anyone can count, and warmed the hearts of everyone he met.

His loving wife, Kristen (née Dickson), will forever miss her best friend; his children, Leighton (5) and Emerson (2), will miss their ultimate hero; and his dog, Fenway, will miss their long walks together.

Cam is also survived by his parents (Anton and Mary), brother, sister-in-law and two nieces (Galen, Haneen, Nahla and Siena), his in-laws (mother, Bernadette; father, Bruce; brother, Stephan), his extended family, as well as so many amazing colleagues and friends.

Born October 20, 1977, Cam made the world a better and brighter place from Day One. While he was an irrational Detroit Lions fan, the world was lucky to have him, even though his time was far too short.

Enjoy your glass of wine walking through your vineyard in the sky, Cam. We love you, and will see you again. Fist bump!

I saw Cam on King Street one day years after we had graduated from McGill. He shouted me down, saying “EGGY!!!” with a voice that caught everyone’s attention. He gave me this HUGE hug and told me how good it was to see me. We chatted for a while and went our separate ways. I was going through a divorce at the time and seeing Cam that afternoon with his big Hollywood smile and his crazy hug...it was exactly what I needed. Talking to him for ten minutes changed my week. He was a bright light in a really dark time for me. He was always full of life and he brought the best out of people. We all lost a great man, a great teammate and a great friend.

Memory to share : played 27 holes in a terrestrial downpour with Cam at Torry Pines in 2008. Everyone bailed. He and I had the whole track to ourselves. Even played some holes in complete fog (holes 2,3 and 4 on the south course) using “The Force” to find our balls for our second shots. It was kinda spiritual then and even more so looking back now. Hanging out with Cam on the long connecting flight home from SD to SFO to YYZ, chaffed things and laughter all the way. That big smile. Ungad.

I am crushed, I miss my friend dearly. Cam - you are once in a generation type of guy. Your generosity, smile, laugh, love for your family and friends was second to none. You will be missed greatly but never forgotten!!!
