October 12, 1946 -  March 16, 2024

With heavy hearts, the family of Burke Fiege announces his peaceful passing on March 16, 2024, at the age of 77. Born in Goslar, Germany, Burke was the beloved son of the late Hilda Fiege (nee: Schluter).
Burke will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his devoted wife, Betty Fiege (nee: Leaver), and his children, Mary (Jim), Sheri (Mike), Tammy (Bill), and Alex (Sonnia). His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Dustin, Brandon, Jessica, Josh, Conner, Dylan, Logan, and Leia, as well as his four cherished great-grandchildren. Burke's memory will also be cherished by his brothers, Wilfred Fiege (Linda) and Michael Fiege (Megan). He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Burke's life was marked by his honorable service in the Royal Canadian Regiment, where he demonstrated bravery, loyalty, and a commitment to duty. His service will forever be remembered and honored.

May Burke Fiege rest in eternal peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

Dear Betty (and Family)

It is with sadness and heartfelt condolences that I offer my words of appreciation for having had the chance to get to know Burke and experience friendship with you both via the RCL Br 606 at Friday or Saturday social events.

He had a unique sense of humour, and was always welcoming. In his workong years, if he saw me on the GO platform or train, Burke always warmly acknowledged me. He showcased his love for you Betty many times over, and was a true gentleman.

May the fond memories of yesteryears live forever in your heart. May those same memories and past photos of adventures and happy times warm you and make you smile on days when you reflect on Burke.

Dad you are dearly missed. I love you dad. Thank you for all the wonderful things you taught me. Your guidance and strength I carry within me.
