LONG, Bryan Edgar

1951 – 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bryan Edgar Long after a short battle with cancer. Born October 14, 1951 in Toronto, Ontario, a cherished husband, father, grandpa and friend, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, June 22, 2020, at his home in Whitby. Bryan leaves behind his loving spouse of 20 years Rhonda, daughters Marina (Chris), Jennifer, and step daughter Paige (Andrew), son Robert (Sophie), and grandchildren Loïc, Gavin and Rowan. Bryan is predeceased by his parents Joan and Clayton Long and his sister, Patricia. Bryan was a kind, gentle, family-oriented man who will be missed dearly by all of his immediate family, his brother in law Robert Watton, his cousins the MacDonald’s, Munroe’s and Carson’s, and siblings of his wife, Rhonda. He will be greatly remembered by his lifelong friends John and Janet Fawcett, Mike and Sylvia Marino, and many more friends, close neighbours, and members of the golf and bowling leagues that Bryan was a part of. Bryan will be best remembered for his calm demeanor, love of golf, bowling, boating and time spent at the family cottage. He was deeply loved and well respected by all those whose lives he touched. A funeral service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Parkinson Canada http://www.parkinson.ca
