Bruce Han Fon Quan, 93, of North York, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday June 28, 2025.

Born in Chickhom, Canton, China, Bruce married Shau Jean in Hong Kong and both immigrated to Canada. They had two children, Lily and Perry.

Bruce was a restaurateur pleasing the tastebuds of Downsview residents with his culinary skills until his retirement in 1985 at the age of 54.

He was an active member of the Quan’s Association Toronto Chapter and would frequent the clubhouse near Spadina and Dundas to play mahjong with friends.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Shau Jean Quan, children Lily (Paul) Seto and Perry (Dale Gee) Quan, his grandchildren Michael (Lesley Giacomel) Quan, Kristene Quan, Stephanie (Tyler Cattani) Seto, Andrew (Diane Hwang) Quan and great-grandchildren, Isabella, Nicholas and Jaylee.

Visitation will be held on Saturday July 12, 2025 at 9:00 am at York Cemetery Funeral Centre. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am followed by interment.
