BARKER, Bruce

Bruce passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on May 11, 2023 at the age of 83. Loving husband of Jane - Cherished father of Carolyn (Steve), Cathy (Dario), and Robert (James) as well as being an adored grandfather of Danny, Vivian, Marco and Ivano. Bruce will also be missed by his many friends and neighbours. He will be forever remembered by his close “Waldo” golfing buddies. The family wish to express their gratitude to the hospital staff for their professionalism shown to Bruce and his family, and the compassionate care shown by Dr. Allan Yan. Friends may call at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa (south of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd., 905-579-6787 for visitation on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Donations will be gratefully accepted for the Canadian Lung Association or the charity of your choice.

Bruce & Jane & family are the special friends everyone wishes they had. All the memories and anecdotes of a life well lived and moments you can cherish forever! We will miss you Bruce and you really need to know that you are in a special place reserved for special people! You hold that unique place in our hearts and we will remember you always!! You made WALDO special for us and everyone will remember the days we spent playing golf, dealing the cards and the "Bruce Barker" special breakfast made just for us!! Rest in peace my friend.
