It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bill Brooks on November 27, 2016.

Beloved husband of Cecilia (Cullen) Brooks for 63 years. Loving father of Don (Kathleen) Brooks and Pauline (Ross) May. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Colin (Nadja), David and Rysia (Sadi) and great-grandfather of Sienna and Mikhail. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother James Brooks and sister Eileen Thompson.

Growing up in the west end of Toronto, Bill joined CIBC at the age of 17. After a 42 year career with the Bank, Bill and Cecile enjoyed 25 wonderful years of happy retirement at their home on Patterson Lake in Lanark County, where they made countless good friends. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and hiking. He also loved a rousing good game of cards. The grandchildren spent many summers at the lake, learning to water ski, wakeboard, fish, and just have fun.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will occur in the New Year. Details will be available at www.mountpleasantgroup.com. If desired, expressions of sympathy would be welcomed by the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
