In memory of

Bridget Rigelhof

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bridget Rigelhof on November 24, 2024, in her 86th year.

Bridget was the beloved wife of the late Rick Rigelhof (2020) and a devoted mother to Sharon, Jeff, Lorraine (Alan), Michael, and the late Colleen (Glenn) (2015). She also gained Rick’s five sons, whom she embraced with love, Paul (Chantel), Noel (Carol), Neil, Tony (Terry), Karl. Bridget was a proud and loving grandmother to Trevor, Carly, Jennifer, Victoria, Michael, and Chantelle, and a cherished great-grandmother to Kara, Raina, Dillon, and Maksym. Bridget was also a dear sister to Edward.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, Bridget lived her life guided by love, and her devotion to her family and God. Her unwavering faith was a source of strength and comfort, and she found joy in her church community and in prayer. Her quick wit, fun-loving spirit, and passion for music and dance were reflections of her deep faith and joyful heart, leaving an enduring inspiration to all who knew her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Ina Grafton Gage Home who provided Bridget with exceptional care, kindness, and compassion in her final days.

The family will receive friends at Pine Hills Funeral Home, 625 Birchmount Road (Birchmount & St. Clair Ave. E), on Monday, December 9, 2024. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life service at 1:00 PM, with a reception to follow.

Bridget’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.

Mother
Beneath the shadow of the cross,
A mother’s love endures no loss.
Through life’s deep trials, joy, and pain,
Your faith in God did still remain.

Mother of five, now four remain,
Yet in your heart no child was vain.
You bore the loss with quiet grace,
And sought in prayer your solace place.

Through love’s great gift, your heart grew wide,
With Rick you stood, sons by your side.
Five gained through vows, a family whole,
A bond of love that warmed your soul.

The rosary beads you held so tight,
Guided you through each sleepless night.
Ave Maria on your breath,
Even in the face of death.

Your hands, once warm, now still they lay,
Yet love will guide us every day.
Through prayers and hymns, we’ll see you near,
In every whispered “Mother, dear.”

Now with your daughter, side by side,
In heaven’s light, where tears subside.
No pain, no sorrow, only peace—
Your soul in Christ has found release.

Rest now, dear mother, holy, true,
Your faith and love will carry through.
In every heart you leave behind,
Your light forever, sweetly shines.
