In memory of

Bridget Mary "Bridie" Ramsay

May 24, 1932 -  August 1, 2020

Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of Bridget's life will be held at a later date.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bridget (Bridie) Ramsay (nee O'Regan), loving wife of James, mother of Allan (Laura) and Siobhan (Carlo) and beloved grandmother to Connor and Caelan. Pre-deceased by her sisters Peg, Rose, Mary and Nora, she leaves behind many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and in-laws around the world, who she loved dearly.

Born in Listowel, Ireland, she was the eldest of 13 children. She began a nursing career in London, England in 1953 before immigrating to Canada and continuing to practice at St. Michael's Hospital.

She met Jim at an Irish social club and they married in 1963. She chose to stay home and raise her children for a time before becoming a private nurse and then joining the Ministry of Health, from which she retired.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Michael's Hospital.
