In memory of

Bridget Lorraine Campbell

September 21, 1978 -  January 6, 2023

Our dear Bridget passed away peacefully at Toronto General Hospital on January 6, 2023 after a 4-month battle with cancer. Bridget was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was born Bridget Lorraine Campbell in Oakville on September 21, 1978 and grew up in Georgetown, Ontario before attending undergrad at Western University and law school at Queen’s University.  During these years Bridget played volleyball for the Province of Ontario and for Western (captaining the team in her senior year).  After law school, Bridget moved to Toronto and settled into her new career as an associate at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP before marrying her beloved Edward in 2008 and also joining BlackRock as internal counsel where she remained a critical part of the BlackRock legal team as a Director until her passing. Bridget and Ed had their adored children Georgie and Teddy (in 2010 and 2012, respectively). Bridget’s passion and dedication to her legal work was only surpassed by her commitment and devotion to her family. She truly was an inspiration and made us so very proud. Bridget was the light of our lives and she will be sorely missed.

She was amazing and I will miss her everyday for the rest of my life. I can still hear her laugh and it will always make me smile. When my time comes, one of the things that will make it easier is knowing I will see her again and she'll be there waiting for me with a hug and that laugh. I loved her and always will.

I am lucky to have been one of Bridget's colleagues at BlackRock. She had a fantastic, dry sense of humour and a distinctive laugh that were truly infectious. She was a terrific colleague and a friend to many, and will be greatly missed. I am truly sorry for her family's loss.
