In memory of

Brian Ogden

August 11, 1936 -  December 23, 2023

Brian was born in Feniscowles (near Blackburn), Lancashire, England. Part of a small, yet ambitious Family, who at any one time were Chicken Farmers, Florist Shop owners and Boarding House proprietors.
Losing his Father at a very early age, Brian had to grow up quickly and help support his ever-feisty Mom, and Sister.

Brian met the ‘Love of His Life’, Renee – they remained happily married for 63 Years until Renee’s passing in 2021; served out his National Service in Malaya; became a Decorated Marksman and returned to England to raise a family. They emigrated to Canada in September 1967 and have never seen the Leafs win a Stanley Cup!

Loving Father, Teacher, Mentor and Best Friend to Gary, Cherished Grandad to Christopher and Kayla, beloved ‘Apa’ to Dorji, Kinley and Sonam – as well lovingly known as “G-3” by Joe-Anthony and Jacob. Brian was also referred to as “My Second Dad”, by his niece Denise of Blackburn. Brian was pre-deceased by his parents, Isaiah & Ivy, and his sister Christine.

Brian was a devoted & meticulous Carpenter all of his adult life; claiming landmarks such as the Colossus Theatre in Vaughan, Sheridan College, The Yorkdale Subway Line and many others among his contributions - along the way making some great and lifelong friendships. “Brian could MacGyver anything”.

The Family would like to acknowledge and thank our ‘extended family’ for the love and support we have received during this difficult time.

Brian’s wishes were to be cremated and his ashes reunited with Renee’s and spread at specific locations in England & locally. He would also want us to continue our support for Brampton Civic Hospital and The Salvation Army.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Meadowvale Funeral Centre, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, Ontario on Sunday December 31st. 2023 at 0900hours (Visitation) / 1000hours (Service) / 1100hours (Reception)

He was Strong man; a True Gentleman; Loved By All and; Will be sorely missed.

Good Night & God Bless !

Deepest condolences to Gary and his family on the passing of his dad Brian, on behalf of the Squires family. Brian was a gentlemen with a great sense of humour. He was a supporter of the No Stars and I remember him and Renee attending many of our hockey and baseball tournament games. Rest in Peace Mr. Ogden.

I regretfully never had an opportunity to meet Brian Ogden, and it is clear from his obituary that it is my loss. Fortunately, I've known his son Gary for many years, and there is clearly much in the son from the father: Honour. Integrity. Friendship. We regret his passing, but his values are enshrined in his family and live on. Condolences.

Uncle Brian (my second dad) was a wonderful person inside & out. He never called me by my name always Cosie. He always had a favourite saying when he liked anything - that’s tutty wally, always made us smile. He was a loving brother to Christine & brother in law to Bill, whom they spent many a good time when they were holidaying in Canada. Uncle Bri & Renee were one of the first people
to see Alex when he was born. Alan loved him as much as we do.My love for uncle Bri will never fade, love you always? R.I.P. enjoy your Guinness in heaven, Denise, Alan,Alex, & Bill ❤️❤️
