In memory of

Brian Leslie Gunn

August 9, 1945 -  February 27, 2023

Brian passed away on February 27, 2023 in Toronto, Ontario. He is survived by his spouse Beth and his children Jeff, Todd and Allison and five grandchildren.
Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec he worked in Old Quebec City as a teen at his uncle’s tobacco shop. As a young adult, he was a salesman who travelled all around the province, even up north of Quebec City. Brian then came to Toronto in the early 80’s where he remained ever since, and built his own business.

Brian had many interests, including flying, in particular Cessna’s Aircrafts, as well as sailing on Lake Ontario in our 26 foot Contessa. He also shared in marathon drives through the USA (New Orleans, Key West, California, travelling on route 66, etc…) and weekend jaunts around southern Ontario. Photography was also a passion throughout his life.

Brian had a lot friends in our neighborhood and many around the world that will miss his presence. He was always stopping to chat with anyone he saw and volunteering to help in any way he could.

Family and Friends will be received at MOUNT PLEASANT CEMETERY 375 Mount Pleasant Road 416-4859129 on Thursday May 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. for a Graveside Service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Brian to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

“Loving memories never die
As years roll on and days pass by
In our hearts a memory is kept
Of one we loved
And will never forget”

I met Brian through his partner Beth. He was a kind , friendly and thoughtful man - always ready to lend a hand or drive us somewhere! I also enjoyed his sense of humour. Even when he was ill he asked me about my own health.
He will be missed.

I knew Brian as a neighbor and enjoying chatting to him and Beth as I walked by with my miniature schnauzer, Sophie. Brian always had a pleasant greeting for us. He will be missed. I am thinking of Beth and the family at this difficult time.
