In memory of
Brian Cleary
November 9, 1950 -
November 18, 2021
Brian (Joseph) Cleary was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He passed away on November 18th, 2021 at age 71 after a short battle with cancer, and from a broken heart after losing his beloved wife of 51 years only 6 months prior.
Brian was born in Belleville, Ontario on November 9, 1950. It was also in Belleville where he met and fell in love with his soulmate, Donna Cleary (nee Digby) when they were 17 years old. Donna passed away in May. He is tremendously missed by his daughters Laura (Steven Sims) and Jennifer (James Buczkowski), granddaughters Caitlin and Ava, and dogs Rosie and Odie. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, (aka G-Pa) and treasured every moment with his family.
Brian was a gentle, kind soul who touched the heart of everyone who met him. He was not a man of many words, but he loved a good joke and found the humour in absolutely everything. He had a contagious laugh and sense of humour that made everyone always feel warm, welcome, and at ease. He loved all animals, especially dogs and had many furbabies over his lifetime. He was always willing to help family, friends, and neighbours with whatever they needed. Brian loved to work on his cars, and was especially proud his old 1949 Ford Pick-up and taking it out for a rip on sunny weekends.
A celebration of Brian's life will be held at Pine Hills Cemeteries and Funeral Centre Chapel, on Saturday, November 27th beginning with visitation at 1:00 PM and a Celebration of Life Ceremony to commence at 2:00 PM. Due to COVID restrictions, proof of double vaccination and photo ID is required.
