In memory of

Boris Ivanov

November 2, 1930 -  February 14, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Boris Ivanov on February 14, 2024 at the age of 93.
Boris was a loving husband to his wife of 64 years, Sylvia; beloved father to Jordan (Christine) and Evan (Tina), and dearest Dedo to J.D., Ashley (Brodie), Eric, Andrew, Alexis and Alena.

Born in Bulgaria, Boris fled communism at the age of 18 and went on to build a successful life in Canada. Boris graduated from the University of Toronto as a Civil Engineer - Skule 5T8 and established his own consulting company, Urban Engineering. He served as the President of the Bulgarian-Canadian Society for many years.

Boris was fiercely dedicated to his family and will be deeply missed by all.

A service to honour Boris will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre and Cemetery.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, in the Gathering Hall. Service to follow at 11:00 am.
Followed by interment.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

To Jordan and Family, I am sorry to hear of Boris’s passing. Boris and I shared many a lunch and a unique working arrangement that I enjoyed and I’m sure he did too. Janis and I offer our condolences as the Monarch crew share our remembrances of a fine individual.

Condolences to Jordan and Ivanov Family. Sad news to hear of his passing. Working with Boris and Urban Engineering at Monarch, he was a great and helpful consultant. Boris led a full and influential live, and may he now rest peacefully.

Regards,
Sebastian Birritteri
