In memory of

Bonnie Sue Kutas

October 25, 1943 -  April 12, 2023

It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Bonnie Kutas, at the age of 79, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was preceded by her beloved husband, Dr. George J Kutas (2014), after a life together for 50 years. She is survived by her three adoring sons, and their spouses, David (Katy), Adam (Jenny) and Matthew (Fate), and forever cherished by her four grandchildren, Alexander, Jeremy, Toby and Ellie.

Bonnie was a proud American, born in St. Louis, Missouri. She was one of five children, and moved to Canada in 1968, after George's appointment to Women's College Hospital.

Bonnie’s love and joy was being a mother. She took pride in raising her three sons, and Labrador dogs, in North Toronto. She enjoyed gardening, interior design, and was generally an active person - she was rarely seen sitting down. Neighbourhood children loved to visit the Kutas house, where they would eat Bonnie's famous chocolate chip cookies. Once her own children were older, she went to work for the Medical Education Department, at Women's College Hospital, before retiring in the late 1990’s.

Bonnie will forever be remembered for her bright blue eyes, witty sense of humour, and unwavering love for her family.

We would like to thank Marilyn, and her team of caregivers, as well as the retirement home staff, for providing comfort and dignity in her final years.

A reception will be held to celebrate Bonnie’s life on May 3rd from noon-2pm. Kindly contact David for additional information. (Dkutas15@gmail.com).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bonnie’s name to Parkinson Research (www.michaeljfox.org).

I’m so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt and she loved her family and her extended family fervently.

I was 12 when I first visited Toronto. Your mother took me to see the play, Hair. She didn’t realize the actors were going to be naked. She tried valiantly to cover my eyes — but I wasn’t having any of it. It was a hoot. She was definitely my favorite aunt after that experience.

I will always remember her fondly. My deepest condolences.
love,
Melody
