Life Story
Bo Kuen Chan was born in Taishan, Guangdong in 1930 where she spent her childhood. She was the eldest of six siblings. She later met our dad, Nai Ngong Chan and got married. They had two sons, two daughters, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Our family lived in Hong Kong for a period, then immigrated to Canada. Mom worked as a seamstress during the day and studied English at night while taking care of the family.

Mom was very gentle, soft-spoken, kind, sweet and independent. She took care of her in-laws, husband, and children selflessly. Mom and Dad loved to cook for family gatherings to celebrate festivities. She was also very handy, doing repairs and maintenance in and around the house like faucet repairs and pruning bushes and trees. During her retirement, Mom liked to do grocery shopping with Dad daily. She also enjoyed sewing - making clothes and accessories for family members, listening to Chinese Opera, watching TV shows and gardening at leisure.

Mom accepted Christ in her senior years and was baptised in August 2008. She read the Bible daily and developed a close relationship with the Lord over the years.

Mom went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2023, at the age of 92.
