In memory of

陳炳儀先生 Ping Yee Chan

1937 - 2021

The Chan family is saddened to announce the loss of Ping Yee, who passed away peacefully on June 21, 2021 in his 84th year.

In the 1950s, Ping Yee emigrated to Canada. He worked hard and discovered his knack for things electrical. He made headlines as a youth, being touted as a local Edison for building and repairing electronic items and automating processes.

Ping Yee went on to become a successful business owner, running his dry cleaning business for over 33 years. He was a husband, father, and grandfather.

He enjoyed growing vegetables, watching live theatre and movies, and exercising his culinary skills. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends over coffee and meals.

He will always be remembered for his brilliant and creative mind, beaming smile, and kindness.

He will forever be in our hearts.

May he rest in peace.

I will miss him dearly. I cannot ask for a more supportive and kind father in law. Words cannot express the love I have for him. My only consolation is knowing that he is with God. Still, it is so difficult to say goodbye. Rest in peace.

Mr. Chan was a very cheerful individual and well liked by relatives and friends.
His culinary skills were excellent and we missed his delicious cooking, especially
the BBQ spare ribs!
May he rest in peace and our prayers go to him and his loved ones.
