It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Mirtsos on Thursday December 7, 2023 at the Baycrest Hospital.

Bill was born in Zhelevo, in the region of Macedonia, Greece on February 17, 1927 to parents Stavro and Vanna. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary. Beloved father of Christine and Steve (Alice). Loving ‘dedo’ to his grandson Luke and granddaughters Mary-Margaret and Alicia.

When Bill immigrated to Toronto in 1954, his dream was to one day own his own restaurant. In 1965 he realized his dream and did what he loved until his retirement at age 64. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening and meeting up with friends at the local mall. He was known for his sense of humour, friendly, easy-going nature, and devotion to his family. He will be forever remembered in our hearts.
