ASANO, Betty Kazuko (nee SHINOHARA) – Peacefully passed away at Age Care Trilogy on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the age of 101. Loving wife of the late Jack Asano. Dear mother of Valerie (Brian Nash), the late Joyce Taylor and Joanne (Chris Sampson). Dear grandmother of Tristan (Stacy), Jason (Jean), John, Austin and Leah. Great grandmother to Lorelai, Isabelle and Spencer.

Aunty Betty (Kazuko san) was a force unto herself! She was feisty and sweet and it was so nice to spend time with her. We met with her in later times a couple of times at Momiji. She was happy and well liked there. It was fun dining in the dining hall with her too, enjoying a sashimi lunch! We will miss her very much! Kevin and Pam Oiye
