Bert Jacques passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 85 in Toronto, Ontario. Bert struggled with serious medical issues over the past years, yet he faced them with such fortitude that his passing seems unexpected.

Bert was born on September 19, 1936, in Grenville, Grenada. After graduating from Grenada Boys Secondary School, he went on to study at the London School of Economics. He met his wife Jean in London; they wed in 1964 after moving to Canada, where Bert’s first job was as an economist for the Bank of Nova Scotia. He changed careers after attending law school at Western University, and upon retirement, he went back to university, completing a B.A. and M.A. in philosophy.

The only thing that Bert loved more than education was his family. He is survived by his wife, Jean; children Michelle and Julian (Melissa); and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Aiden and Kaleb.

The family requests that all notes or flowers be sent to the Funeral Home for the day of the Service.
