Bernardita (Betty) Bedaña Muñoz was born May 6, 1947 in San Nicolas City, Pangasinan, Philippines, fourth of nine children of Belen and Ramon Bedaña.
On July 28, 2019, after a year-long trial with MDS/leukemia Betty passed to her eternal destiny with a heavenly embrace, smiling. We can only feel pure joy for her at her long-awaited reward.
Betty married her dedicated husband +Ben in 1971, who with him, had four loving daughters. Her life honored God; and accordingly, she was devoted to her family in every way imaginable and blessings abounded.
Betty was a Pharmacist and at one point in her career, held the position of Director of Pharmacy at Toronto Grace Hospital for several years. Her life mission, however, was to help others know God’s love for them. Humility, faithfulness, prayerfulness and love in action were her trademarks. Betty’s quiet influence extended beyond her family as many have attested to her generous, kind and beautiful soul. Yet she was quick to redirect any compliments and expressions of thanks to the grace of God.
Betty is predeceased by her husband +Ben. Beloved Mom is greatly missed by her children Michelle (Keith) Li, Cecilia (Greg) Sioulis, Suzanne (Bert) Orquiola and Lisa (Anthony) Reyes; grandchildren Michaela, Trinity, Nicholas, Michael, Gabriella, Laurentina, Olivia and Matthew; brothers and sisters Rene (Ruby), Clarita (Gene), Agnes, Ruthie (Francis), Precy (Arthur), Belencita (Lando), Virgie (Leo) and Ramon Jr. (Maylene). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family of Betty wish to extend a heartfelt thank you for the selfless kindness and compassion of the entire Bedaña clan, the whole TinayEnTomas family, the MGH and PMH oncology and transfusion teams; Dr. Disperati, Dr. Yee and nurses, the Temmy Latner Centre palliative care team; Dr. Wales and nurses.
Immeasurable love and gratitude for Mother Mary.
Both in life and in death, all glory and praise be to God the Father Son Jesus and Holy Spirit.
Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Rom 12:12
