In memory of

Bernardita Espineda Caseres Jarvis

October 29, 1955 -  August 14, 2024

Bernardita Espineda Caseres Jarvis, age 68, passed away on August 14, 2024. Born in Gubat, Sorsogon, Philippines, to Pio Pagaran Caseres and Fe Espineda Caseres, Bernardita was a cherished mother, devoted sister, loving daughter, and beloved friend.

Bernardita’s deep devotion to God was the cornerstone of her life. She was an active and loving member of Milestone Church, where her faith and kindness touched many lives. She particularly loved volunteering in the kids' class, where she found great joy in caring for the babies. Her commitment to serving others extended to her work as a dental assistant at Rosedale Dental Centre, where she worked for 17 years, bringing with her a warm smile and unwavering dedication that made a positive impact on those around her.

When Bernardita was younger, she secretly skipped church to enter a singing competition at a local radio station. She won 2nd place and proudly brought the prizes back to her family, including a basket of food. Her love for singing was a passion she carried with her throughout her life.

She is survived by her son, Kevin; her sisters, Luzviminda, Pilar, Rosario, and Anita; her brother, Alejandro; and many other loving family members and friends. Her older brother, Antonio, and her parents, Pio and Fe, preceded her in death. Bernardita will be remembered for her hardworking nature, boundless compassion, and the immense love she shared with those close to her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 24, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Bernardita’s big smile and even bigger heart will be profoundly missed, but her spirit and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew her.
