In memory of

張作業 Bernard Chok-Yip Cheung

November 3, 1938 -  February 9, 2024

Bernard Cheung, loving husband of Phoebe Cheung, passed away on Feb 9, 2024 (New years Eve on the Lunar calendar)
Under excellent, compassionate hospice care and with the family by his side, he passed very peacefully in a dignified manner.

RIP
With a heavy heart,
I bid you the final farewell,
But felt comforted knowing,
In a perfect place you now dwell.
You’ve no more pain, suffering or fear
But only bliss now.
Thank God for giving you a good life,
Smile and take a bow.
You’ll be forever remembered
And lovingly missed.
With a lightened heart. I sealed our fifty-eight years of married life with a parting kiss.

Bernard,
May you rest in peace
Love,
Phoebe

I met Bernard through his wife, Phoebe, who is a good friend and a high school classmate. Not long ago Bernard and I had a private chat when we talked about God and Heaven. It's sad to lose a friend, but my faith tells me that he is in a better place now. May he rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Phoebe, and your children and grandchildren.
Take care,

Pat
