Born in Newcastle, Ontario. Beloved wife of 65 years to Jack. Loving mother of Ginny, Mike (Kathleen) and Les (Diane). Dear grandmother of Stacey, Michelle and Christopher. Loving sister of Elaine Painter (late Trevor). She will be especially missed by close family friend Jane Strickland, niece Kendra Painter, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Leslie and Maud Hewitt and siblings Jack Hewitt (Lillian), Maurice Hewitt (Roberta), Bill Hewitt (Vera), Art Hewitt (Edith) and Murray Hewitt (Marion).

Remembering all the great times growing up, the Sunday dinners, Christmas, the cottage visits, backyard BBQ's. Aunt Berna recognized and fostered my interest in Art with a John Nagy Art kit when I was still young. Our deepest condolences to the family, Ginny, Mike, and Les and their families.
