With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Benjamin (Ben) Prabhakar Uttangi, who left us on January 3, 2025, at the age of 76. Born in Dharwad, India, Ben moved to Canada in 1976 and settled in Brampton, Ontario.

Ben was a beloved husband and father and will be deeply missed by his wife of 48 years, Irene, and his children, Theodore (Heather) and Matthew. Ben will also be fondly remembered by his siblings, large extended family and his church community.

A devout Christian and a man of strong faith, Ben’s life was guided by his belief in God’s will. His faith provided him with deep commitment to service, and to evangelize to others through prayer and testimony. His spiritual devotion touched the hearts of many.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Bramalea Baptist Church 9050 Dixie Road Brampton on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 11am. Visitation at Meadowvale Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres on Thursday, January 16, 2025, between 4-8pm.
