Ben will be missed. His kind, generous spirit will be something I will remember most about him. We had many engaging conversations about how strangers approached him, and often asked for his advice. Ben had an infectious laugh. Ben was a very independent and self sufficient man. He lived life to the fullest. May he rest in eternal peace. My condolences to his family and friends.

Ben was such a familiar presence across the street. I used to have wonderful conversations with him, just passing by. I could tell that he was very confident in his abilities and very proud of his children. One time, he showed me some family photos. I wish that more people in Toronto would be as friendly and open as Ben was. He always had a smile and a wave.
