Uncle Benjamin has been a constant part of my life growing up and graciously welcomed me into his home and family.

I remember summer travels with him and his family when I was growing up. He would open his home to me in New York City, becoming my guardian for the summer even when he and Auntie Helen already had to take care of their three boys. We would visit landmarks, go on road trips around the U.S. and, the one every kid will always remember, go to FAO Schwarz. He has provided that young brat many lifelong memories.

When he moved back to Toronto, I was given the opportunity to work with him when he launched his own business. I remember working with him on marketing materials, visiting clients to manage business relations, and trying to establish a physical presence. During that time, he tried to teach me many lessons, some about planning and execution, but to this day, a decade to two later, I still have yet to grasp a competency in many of those skills. I will always keep with me the wisdom he generously offered from his many decades of experience in Hong Kong and the U.S.

I will miss Uncle Benjamin greatly.
