Belgica Ruvin Cantera de Camacho

Passed away in her sleep at Shepherd Village Lodge.
Loving wife of Santiago Camacho and cherished mother of Eduardo, Daniel and Monica.
Adored by her four grandchildren, Miguel, Raquel, Montserrat and Cecilia, as well as her six great-grandchildren.
Belgica moved to Canada from her home in Uruguay in 1969. She was a working mother, dedicated to providing the best for her family. She loved to travel, bring people together, and relax on the beach. After her retirement, she and Santiago travelled annually to their holiday home in Uruguay during the winter months. She maintained life-long friendships, adapting to the age of technology to communicate with others. She was independent, strong-willed, caring, and funny. In her later years, dementia took away her memory but not her spirit.
Friends and family will be received at The Simple Alternative, 275 Lesmill Road, Toronto, on Friday, June 15 for a complete service beginning at 2:00pm. Visitation begins at 1:15pm; reception to follow.
