In loving memory of Beatriz

Beatriz Regina González Lema was born on September 7, 1947 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She grew up in a household with her 7 siblings and moved on to form a family of her own in her adulthood. She had 3 children who all grew up to have children of their own. This was a blessing for Beatriz as she loved being a mother and grandmother. Beatriz immigrated to Canada with her children and husband to start a better life. She worked very hard to earn all that she had and with what she had left over she would use for her family.

Beatriz had a big heart that radiated through friends and family. Although she went through many hardships in life, her spirit remained bright and she never failed to extend love and support to those around her. She was a selfless mother, grandmother, sister and friend who was loved and adored by many.

Beatriz passed away the morning of October 13 at Mount Sinai hospital after fighting multiple infections and lukemia. Beatriz was resilient and positive during this battle and peacefully passed in her sleep. She survived alongside her husband, children, grandchildren and friends.
