In memory of

Beatrice Jonathan

August 22, 1932 -  December 29, 2023

Beatrice Jonathan (Mom,Nani, Amo B) passed peacefully in her home with her loving daughter Rena, son-in-law Tahir, whom she considered a son and grandson Shiraz by her side. She was born to parents Mary Thomas and Joseph Dinshaw, on August 22, 1932 in Quetta India. She was 91 when she passed. Mom taught at St. Anthony's in Lahore and was an integral part in shaping many young minds in Quetta, Lahore, Sibi and Karachi.

Mom leaves behind her sister Phyliss Lewis and brother Kalvin Dinshaw and their children as well as grandchildren. She married in 1960 to Dennis Jonathan (predeceased June 5, 2023) and had 2 beautiful daughters Rena and her husband Tahir Umar Khitab and Regina and her husband Manjinder Matharu. Proud grandmother to Nadeem, Shiraz and Isabella. And the best little present Mom received in 2019 was her great grandchild Lolamoon Umar Khitab. Her face lit up whenever she heard Lola was coming for a visit. Mom had many many more children whom she considered her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Our mother will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many family, friends and those whose lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to mom’s favorite charity, the Missionaries of Charity where a prayer can be requested, the Canadian Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
