In memory of

Basil Cole

August 3, 1944 -  July 16, 2024

Basil Cole, a devoted family man, passed away at the age of 79. Born in 1944, he spent his life cherishing the people he loved most.
Basil’s heart belonged to his wife, Joan, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Their love was a testament to commitment and companionship. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Basil Jr. (Sheriffa), Charlotte (Nuno), and Ruby. His adoration extended to his grandchildren—Julia, Jessica, Anthony, Emma, Bethany, and Melissa—who brought immense joy to his life.
As a frustrated Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Basil endured both victories and defeats with unwavering loyalty. His dedication to family paralleled his work ethic. For many years, he contributed to Goodyear Tire, where he was a committed hard worker.
Basil was one of eight siblings, and family bonds meant everything to him. Whether gathered around the dinner table or celebrating milestones, he reveled in their company. His legacy lives on through the love he shared and the memories he created.
Basil was the beloved brother of Clarence (Shirley), Lloyd (Ella), Eric (Neily), Eldrid, Isabel (Harry), Ford and Francis (Dan).
Rest in peace, my love, my Dad, my Poppy. Your kindness, resilience, and love will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew you. Dad, we will miss your smiling blue eyes, forever and always.
