In memory of

Vasa Kazias

November 6, 1928 -  January 19, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Vasa Kazias.

Vasa passed away peacefully at home, in her 94th year, on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas Kazias, and loving mother to Christine and Elene Kazias. Cherished grandmother (Baba) to Zoya (Scott) and Nicola (Mike), and proud great-grandmother (Baba Vasa) to Clara. Vasa will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her many friends and family.

Family meant the world to Vasa and we were immeasurably fortunate to have such a strong and caring woman guide us in our lives. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Michael Garron Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Vasa made the sandwiches for our homeless ministry volunteers to distribute on Tuesday evenings downtown Toronto.

I would pick up the sandwiches at noon from Vasa and she eould not let me leave until I had a cup of tea with her. And those who know Vasa, would know that you didn't just get a cup of tea. It would be served with dainties which were always in supply.
