In memory of

Barry Hoyle

November 26, 1936 -  January 31, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Barry Hoyle on January 31, 2020 in his 84th year. Beloved husband to June and devoted father to John and Andrew (Mary Anne). Brother to Brian, Jacky and Ricky overseas. Passionate lifelong footballer and the toughest, bravest, most graceful man we have known. Special thanks to the remarkable team at Sunnybrook who brightened his life with their care and compassion. A great loss. Friends may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 2pm with visitation 1 hour prior. If desired, donations can be made to Sunnybrook Hospital – Odette Cancer Centre.

To Barry's family:
My condolences to each of you, you've lost a lovely man.
Barry & I met at Markham Indoor Soccer facility about 1989, when our team, Markham Old Timers started a Friday night league. Barry & I were team mates several years over the next decade. He was a fun loving player, the kind that every team wants. We'll all miss him.

Always enjoyed Barry's humor, easy laugh & giggle. Of course he was rubbish at football but a great lad nevertheless. Played with him for many, many years & worked with him even more. A super lad who will be remembered for his qualities & constant work ethic. A very sorry day
