It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian Jeffory Barr. Beloved father, umpa (grandfather), brother, uncle, and partner, who left us peacefully at the age of 62. Brian passed away on December 19, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Born on February 20th, 1962, in Toronto, Ontario, Brian was the son of the late George and Laura Barr. He was a dedicated and loving father to his three sons, David, Brian Jr., and Jacob, and a proud umpa (grandfather) to his seven grandchildren. Brian was also a cherished partner to Nicole, who shared in his joy and love during the later years of his life.

Brian’s legacy as a devoted family man, his unwavering kindness, and his sense of humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Although the Barr family were neighbors to the Collins family, Brian was more like a loving son to Mr. and Mrs. Collins. He often spoke very highly of them, and the bond they shared was truly special. His connection to them was a testament to the love and generosity he extended to all those around him.

Brian spent much of his life working in the bar industry, but his true passion was his family. He enjoyed Canada Day barbecues, camping trips, and adventures to Niagara Falls. He was a man of integrity, always putting others first and offering a helping hand whenever it was needed.

Brian is survived by his children, David, Brian Jr. (Shannon), and Jacob (Ashley); his grandchildren, Josh, Austin, Faith, Andrew, Hope, Lincoln, and Koda; his 4 brothers and 1 sister, and many nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his partner, Nicole. Predeceased by his beloved brother Steve and sister Patricia.

Brian’s memory will live on through the love and strength he instilled in his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
