Barbara Jane Taylor

May 2, 1947 - Jan 22, 2025

Barbara passed peacefully on January 22, 2025, following complications from heart surgery. Predeceased by her parents, Douglas Robert and Dorothy Alma Taylor; survived by her sister, Elizabeth Masching (Karl); nieces, Barbara Renee Masching (Kent) and great nephews Fynn and Blaise; Elizabeth Nicole Jocko (Todd) and great niece Cara.

In her career, Barbara was a highly respected marketing and advertising executive and mentor to many. She valued family and friendships, nurturing deep and authentic relationships over her lifetime. Barbi lived with passion and purpose, cherishing nature, especially Muskoka, and her volunteer role with the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). She will be greatly missed by many.

A private family service will be held at a later date. As a tribute to Barbara, and to honour her commitment to helping others and the arts, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, AGO or a charity of your choice.

We’ll meet for lunch as we always did at Allen’s, the only place in town for a genuine rare burger. This March. Janie will drive down from her place on the Moon River, Annie and I will take the train from Port Hope, Barbara, unable to attend for treasons beyond her control will send her regrets like the proper lady she always was. We will miss her, and raise a glass in a fond toast to her memory, which will never fade. Farewell dear friend, until we meet again.
