With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of beloved wife and our
mother Barbara Joan Phillips, who took her final bow unafraid and with an open heart after a
brief battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving husband, sons and grandchildren on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at the age of 93. A woman of extraordinary beauty, strength, and grace, she lived as a force of nature - unyielding, loving and unforgettable.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her bereaved husband William Phillips Sr of 67 years;
children Randolph James Phillips, Ricky Thomas Phillips, William James Phillips Jr and his wife Meseret Asrat, son-in-law Nelson Sab widower to John Patrick Phillips; predeceased by her dear sons Jonathan Patrick Phillips and Robert William Phillips; grandchildren Jennifer Louise Phillips and her husband Daniel Cody Calahan, Patrick Jason Phillips, Harris Silas Phillips; predeceased by her darling grandchildren Bryon Louis Phillips and Morgen John Phillips; great grandchildren Bodhi River Calahan, Arlo Wolf Calahan and Opal Soleil Calahan.

Barbara and Bill’s marriage was a beautiful example for us all. Their love was as strong and
deep as could be.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 3pm at the Mount
Pleasant Cemetery & Funeral Centre at 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, ON. A Visitation will
begin at 2pm and a Reception will follow from 4-6pm.
