Barbara Edith Anne Billes:
Passed away peacefully in her 90th year on Thursday, March 7th at her home in Etobicoke, after many years of battling dementia. Barbara was the oldest child of Rev. Robert and Marjorie Kitchen late of Toronto, and married Alfred “Fred” Billes in 1958, late of Grand Cayman and Toronto. She is survived by 4 of their 5 children, Heather, Deirdre, Maeve (Greg) and Garth and predeceased by her oldest son, Alfred (Susan)(Brian). Loving Grandmother to Eliza (Jason), Stephanie (Jason), Nicole (Gary), A..J. ( Renata), Alexandra (Bill), Ryan and Sam. Proud Great-grandmother of Gordon, Greta, Kipling, Vaeda, Adriano and Felix and dear sister to Lenore, being pre-deceased by brothers Donald and Ralph.
In addition to being the consummate hostess, managing and balancing busy business, family and home responsibilities, Barbara was very active in charity endeavours, including volunteering for many years with the Heart Fund and loved to travel. A faithful wife and mother she will be remembered for her lively spirit and loving concern for her family.
