Back Joe Ing passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 91 years of age.

A visitation will be held at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre on Saturday, November 25th at 1pm and burial will follow at Elgin Mills Cemetery at 2:30pm.

Back Joe was born in Guangdong, China and came to Canada in the late 1950’s. He lived in North Bay, Ontario for over 50 years where he was the head chef for the Golden Dragon restaurant. He later moved to Toronto to be closer to his family

Back Joe will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Yun Chian; children: Mei, Jane, and Perry; grandchildren: Larry, Dennis, Peter, Wincy, Chris, Brandon, Missy and Elias, and great grandchildren: Hana and Seraphina. He is preceded in death by his son David.

Memorial donations can be made to Bridgepoint Hospital and Mt. Sinai Hospital where the family is grateful for the excellent care he received in recent months.
