September 5, 1920 - February 6, 2018

Austra Lilija Dreifelds, age 97, passed away peacefully in her home in Scarborough. As a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and so much more, she was loved by many and lived a full, happy life. Even when bed ridden for the last few years she never lost her eternal sense of kindness and faith in God.

Please accept my condoleances on the death of your beloved Austra. Throughout the last 35 years I have had the pleasure of meeting her on several occasions. I remember her as a very kindhearted lady who always greeted me warmly and showed genuine interest in me. As she did I am sure with all of her guests. The last time I saw her was about a year ago and she was very fragile and it seemed clear she had entered the last phase of her long life. My thoughts are with her and all your family.

Dear Gunta, Diana and Victor,
It's sad to here your mother has left us. I will always remember her in my heart as someone very kind, genernous and caring. As a child I looked forward to seeing her because she made me feel accepted as I was.
I'm sure she rests peacfully now which gives solace to those she left behind. My sincere condolences to you and your families at this time of loss.
