Aurel is the FR-Canadian Uncle I always wanted. I treasure his friendship and he becomes my family over the past 16 years. He is a friend who I confide, a mentor who gives me advice, an adventurer who I admire. He is my sometimes ski instructor, he taught me how to xcountry ski (clumsy as I might be), a partner-in-crime on roadtrips and (mis)adventures. He is a source of strength I leaned on when I lost my father. I can not fathom that we would be losing you so soon. We still have many adventures to be have (Costa Rica, Belize and European tour). Aurel, I hope you are having new adventures and eating all the dumplings + fish biryani you desire in the afterlife.

Guy, Heather, your family and friends I send my sincere condolences.
From our early days in Ottawa and Leslie Park I consider Aurel a lifelong friend. We last
got together in Toronto too many years ago. Tony Lewer, Brian Mcilhagga, Doug Mallory and my self had a great a fabulous day catching up and having a few beverages. I last spoke with Aurel when was hooked on sailing and I have had him in my thoughts as friends do since. Dave and Danny have always kept me up to date on his return visits to Ottawa.
R.I.P. Aurel
