Audrey Sadler

July 15, 1960 - November 3, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Sadler on November 3, 2022, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Audrey was a dedicated Registered Nurse who served over 35 years in the Mount Sinai Hospital NICU. She was the beloved daughter of the late Ivan and Grete Pike. She remains forever in the hearts of her devoted husband of 34 years, Russell; her sons Ryan (Vicky) and Christopher; her sister Jane (Randy, Samantha, Matthew, and Stephanie); and in-laws Janet, Keith, and Mark (Amy). Even though her time with us was cut short, she lived a life full of family, friends, and adventure. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Center.

The first time we "met," I was 16 and running out of your house just as you were getting home with the groceries. Though Ryan and I had just been watching TV, you said later that it had looked very suspicious that a girl you'd never seen before was running out of the house right as the boy's mom got home, and we had a good laugh. That first day, I told Ryan that his mom was beautiful, and why hadn't he told anyone how pretty his mom was? Ryan and Christopher look just like you, Audrey, and I know we will all forever look at them and remember you, and for that I'm so grateful. For the last 13 years, you have opened your home and your heart to me. You raised an amazing son that I cherish, and I'm eternally thankful to be part of the Sadler family. I'll do my best to take care of your boys and keep them in line (and on time). I love you and I miss you.
