In memory of

Audrey Margaret Irving

March 8, 1933 - January 21, 2025

It is with sadness that I announce the passing of my mother Audrey Irving (nee Benson) aged 91 on Jan 21, 2025 after an illness. Let me tell you about her. She is predeceased by her husband Eric (1927-1986). She is survived by a sister Mollie (Arthur) and predeceased by two sisters, Edna (Bill), Dot (Noel) and her brother Frank.

She fiercely loved her family which consists of her sons, Ian (Elicia 1960-2021) and Duncan (Tracey), her grandchildren, Eric (Annie), Penny, Colin (Maria) and of course her daughter me, Linda (Paul).

She grew up in Liverpool, England where she met my dad, had great adventures, came to Canada continued to have great times and met new people. She started a family and created a wonderful life in Oakville, Winnipeg, Harley and Burford with my dad. My family is actually named as an acronym IDEAL (Ian, Duncan, Eric, Audrey, Linda). She had the ideal family!

The family moved in 1979 from Winnipeg to Burford so my dad could undertake one of the biggest jobs of his life as the general manager of the Home Hardware Paint and Chemical Division. My mom was his biggest supporter. She loved her gardening, church (Burford United), bridge, friends and her dogs; Holly, Ben and Jock. She will be remembered for her smile, laughter, compassion and loving nature. A special lady. Always remembered. Always loved. Rest in peace my sweet angel.

Plus a special thank you to the staff on 2A at Langstaff Care Community.
