In memory of

Arthur Gordon (Gord) Elliott

August 2, 1918 -  December 27, 2018

A life well lived.
It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur Gordon (Gord) Elliott announce his passing at the Kensington Hospice at the age of 100. Gord spent the last years of his life at the Davenhill Retirement Residence in Toronto.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley (nee Traversy), his sisters Barbara Foley (Paul), Frances Elliott, and grandson Sean Hill. Survived by his children Diane Hill (Daniel), Susan Wittrup (Evan), Ross Elliott (Kathryn), David Elliott (Mario), and Marion MacIsaac (Gary). Cherished “Grampa Gord” to Caroline Hill (Alex), Ian Elliott (Marguerite), Scott Wittrup (Sarah), Brian Wittrup (Vittoria), Laura von Buttlar (Alex), and Lindsay, Elliott and Jennifer MacIsaac. Proud great-grandfather to Maya Elliott.
A graduate of the University of Toronto in chemical engineering (class of 1942), Gord spent his entire career at CIL in Montreal, retiring at age 63. He cherished his family and his farm in Vermont where he enjoyed fifty years at Seymour Lake. His passions in later years were watching his grandchildren play hockey, genealogy and working hard to stay healthy. He influenced the lives of many, and will be missed by all.
During the past weeks, Gord and our family were cared for by the loving staff and volunteers at the Kensington Hospice. A private cremation and interment has occurred. Your condolences can be shared at www.mountpleasantgroup.com. If desired, contributions can be made to the Kensington Hospice.
