Arthur Eugene (Geno) Woodruff

Arthur Eugene (Geno) Woodruff of Aurora, Ontario passed away peacefully the morning of May 9, 2021, with his loving wife Verna by his side.
Art was born in Trail, British Columbia on June 2nd, 1939. He earned a degree in the biological sciences from the University of British Columbia. His career brought him to Calgary where he met the love of his life and best friend Verna Vivian Woodruff (nee Brooks).
As a young adult, Art mastered ice hockey, box lacrosse, baseball and snooker. Later in life, tennis became his favorite sport. Art was a man of many passions including; fishing, golf, dogs, and travel. He enjoyed winter vacations in Mexico and most importantly, his grandchildren.
Art spent his career in the pharmaceutical industry. Rising from a Professional Services Representative to several senior management positions including Chief Executive Officer. He was a tireless worker who led by example. He serviced on several Boards and was a life loyal member of Sigma Chi.
Art and Verna were married for 56 years. They were life partners in the truest sense. Verna supported and encouraged Art in all that he pursued. Later, his adoring grandchildren became a source of pride and joy that filled Art's heart. He had a complete and full life.
Art leaves behind his wife Verna, his children Anthony Woodruff and Andrea Woodruff, his grandchildren Thomson and Andrew Woodruff, and Rylie Tishler, and his sisters Donna ( Price), Joan (Raggett) , and Diane
( Buchingnani). He had lifelong friends from the Rossland Trail area as well as extended family. He will be lovingly remembered.
Arthur (Geno) has been cremated and will be laid to rest at the Bayview Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
