In memory of

Artemio Baniqued Lampa

October 20, 1951 -  June 4, 2022

Artemio, known as Temmy by friends and relatives, passed away suddenly at his home in Ajax, ON on Saturday, June 4, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Lutgarda and children, Art and Luthie (Ben); grandchildren Joshua and Joaquin; siblings Valiente (Sol), Pablo (Rose-Marie) and Sofia; and his many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Paniqui, Tarlac in the Philippines to Ponciano and Lorenza Lampa and was the youngest of seven children. Artemio and his wife immigrated to Canada on September 18, 1974, living in Edmonton, Alberta where he worked for the Edmonton Public School Board, and also assisted with his brothers in running a local fish market. Artemio and his wife later moved to Toronto, Ontario in 2002, where he worked for and retired from OLG Woodbine Slots in 2016.

He loved deeply and always made sure his family was taken care of. He will be mostly remembered by his gleaming smile, generous heart, and continuous helping hand.

My dearest uncle Temmy; Go in peace and rest in GOD’S kingdom where you will be free from any form of pain. Our hearts are broken, our spirits are shattered from grief of losing you, but the legacy of love and the beautiful memories you left behind will continue to shine through all the rest of our lives here on earth. It will bind the Lampa family stronger against all adversities and challenges. Our greatest consolation is to try to understand and accept that GOD loves you so much that he spared you from misery and pain. Yes indeed…. you’ll be greatly missed for now, but someday, in our own time, we will meet and be happily reunited with you again and other departed loved ones. I love you, uncle Temmy, but its time for me to say “VAYA CON DIOS” and rest in eternal peace😥😔😇🙏🥰🌹

Dear Ruth,
My heart goes out to you and family for the loss of your dear husband and father. I’ll always remember how Temmy’s contagious, warm smile would light up the room. Always enjoyed our Christmas celebrations together in Kitchener. Please know that he will live on in all of our fond memories. Sending my deepest sympathies to all of you. Love, Rose
