With heavy hearts, we remember Arsenia Aroma, affectionately known as Inday, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on July 31, 2024, in Ajax, Ontario, Canada. Born on August 30, 1967, in the Philippines, Arsenia led a life filled with love, joy, and music.
She was known for her passion for karaoke, particularly her love for Filipino songs, which brought joy to those around her. Arsenia deeply valued traditional wisdom and the old ways of giving care, especially the use of ginger, reflecting insights passed down through generations. Her devotion to her faith was evident in her regular visits to Baclaran Church and Quiapo Church.
Although not a fan of coffee, Arsenia delighted in Starbucks' frappes. Her family—her son, daughter, and two grandchildren—will remember her fondly, as well as her beloved dogs: Cutie, Bimby, Princess, Lucky, Teddy, Blackie, and the very noisy Samoyed, Maki, who was just a few months older than her youngest grandchild at the time of her passing.
Arsenia was predeceased by her parents, Maria Antonio and Silvestre Aroma. Her passing was due to sudden and unexpected high blood sugar and cardiac arrest, which caused severe brain swelling. In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no viewing or formal services. A direct cremation will be held.
"Your song may have ended, but the melody will linger in our hearts forever."
