Arnold Lloyd Bijuli-Singh

Arnold Lloyd Bijuli-Singh, known affectionately as Lloyd, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024, at the age of 86. Arnold was the loving husband to Rita Dolores Ng-Chung and the cherished father to Nigel (Bibi), Marcia (Christopher) Pasram, and Michelle (Mitch) Brown. He was the proudest grandfather to Cynthia, Linda, Julia, Lloyd, Caitlyn, Kristen and Jennifer.

He was predeceased by his devoted parents, Rev. Arnold Bijuli-Singh and Marcelle Rosaline Bijuli-Singh, as well as his siblings Enid, Pearl, Ruby, Clement, Doreen, Rudolph (Bobby) and Avril. Lloyd is survived by his sister Joye, and brother Carl.

Lloyd was born in Mahaicony, Guyana, and later lived in Albion and Georgetown. He began his career as a teacher and worked for the courts in Guyana before moving to Canada in 1973. In Canada, he worked in the dental supply industry until he retired and devoted his time to his family and grandchildren. During retirement, Lloyd and Rita moved to Florida where Lloyd found great joy in cultivating fruit trees and tending to his garden.

Known for his generous spirit, unwavering dedication to his family, and profound kindness, Lloyd's life was a testament to the values instilled in him by his parents, who were pillars of faith and compassion. Lloyd carried forward their legacy, touching the lives of many with his warmth and sincerity.

He is survived by his immediate family, who will forever cherish his memory. Lloyd's presence brought joy and comfort to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13 at Elgin Mills Cemetery to celebrate Lloyd's life and honor the wonderful person he was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Parkinson Canada, reflecting Lloyd's lifelong commitment to helping others.

Arnold Lloyd Bijuli-Singh will be remembered for his remarkable life, enduring love, and the undeniable mark he left in our hearts and our lives.
